Why Do You Persist?

Why do you persist? 16/04/04

Trying to win the battles u fought
And dreaming to achieve the aims you sought
Luck favours the brave, wrong u had thought
In the end you see, it’s nothing u have got,
In your five fingered fist.
Then why do you persist?

You had planned well, for the sunshine day
And hoped to walk, by the golden ray
But this storm has shattered all your way
And held you back, where you stay
In the dark and densened mist.
Now why do you persist?

U wished to be painted as a beautiful lagoon
With the star filled sky and the new crescent moon
The painting was a ruin and you found out soon
That you’ve been always, a sick cartoon
By a mocking cartoonist.
Say why do you persist?

You’ll sing for ever, if u think, you’re wrong
this Life is a feeble, solitary song
Some things live short, and some live long
But all will perish, be weak or strong
All things that today exist.
Still why do you persist?

“The cartoon being too bore to be read
The battles lost I think u said
Plans of sun saw mist instead
And hopes of life being slaughtered dead.
But I will bring the twist.
And that’s why I persist.”
